Drinking Games, You Can Play at Your Next House Party

Anyone who’s ever planned a party in their life knows that it’s not a party without some fun drinking games. You might have all sorts of delicious food and lots of booze and the company of your close friends, but what good is all of that if you can’t loosen up and laugh your hearts out together? Some limited edition alcohol is always good, but you can always amp up the party vibes with a fun game or two.

Here then is a list of some popular drinking games you can play with your friends. Be sure you keep this in mind when you’re planning your next house party.

Medusa

This is probably one of the easiest games to play, but it’s also the most fun, especially when you’re just looking to get drunk with your friends. Make sure you have lots of shots handy, and sit down with your friends at a table, preferably one that’s circular. Everyone should sit with their heads down, and their respective shots should be right in front of them. Somebody counts to three, and on the last count, everybody looks up and looks at someone else at the table. If a person looks at someone who isn’t looking at them, they’re saved. But if they look at someone who is looking right back at them, both of them have to shout “Medusa” at each other and race to drink their shots. The game ends when you run out of shots or when you’re all drunk and can no longer remember to count to three, whichever comes first.

Two Truths, One Lie

Anyone who plays this game should be ready to spill a secret or two of their own! You should all sit at a round table facing each other, and each person takes turns in telling two facts about themselves and one lie. Another person will have to determine the truths from the lie, and if he gets it wrong, he has to take a shot. If they get it right, however, their opponent is made to drink their own shot. Whether you get to take a shot or not, one thing’s sure: the night won’t end without all of you learning new things about each other!

Never Have I Ever

This is another game that is certain to have people laughing and intrigued by all the funny or controversial details you learn about each other. Be ready to learn the dirty secrets of your friends plus all the embarrassing details behind each. All you have to do is to prepare some slips of paper on which are written funny but personally awkward statements, such as “Never have I ever kissed on the first date.” The person who selects that particular slip of paper will have to answer whether he has done it or not, and he will have to provide the embarrassing details behind the experience. Everybody who plays this at a party should be ready to reveal their personal stories, however funny or embarrassing they might be.
