Eating Pizza With Bitcoin In Australia

Ever tried to buy a pizza online with bitcoin in Australia? I have, and I searched for many ways to accomplish this task but always ended in frustration and without any pizza. Some places online do offer this service but it seems to not be in Australia, and with those sites, it’s usually in the form of buying a gift card, receiving a code and then after that, you find out that you can only use it at selected participating stores. Frustration levels increase.

Finally, I came across a site called Crypto Eats, where they allow you to order the food you want directly from their website and pay with BTC (bitcoin) or LTC (litecoin). Easy peasy. They offer purchases from restaurants such as Domino’s, McDonald’s, Hungry Jacks, Subway and KFC. No codes to worry about, no trying to calculate and convert fiat to bitcoin, just select your food online, go to your checkout and pay with bitcoin. Now, for the first time, I can finally buy pizza using bitcoin in Australia, yay!

I have recently noticed on their site they’ll be adopting other food chains to add to their menu. This will be great because it will provide consumers with more options at dinner, lunch or even breakfast times. The prices are pretty closely matched and I only noticed a small service fee at checkout, but that’s to be expected as it does cost money to maintain the website and provide a reliable service.

Wow, I really wish this site had of been around years ago when I was searching, this would have made my life much simpler as I’m heavily into crypto currencies. I do see crypto as the digital payments of the future as it’s secure and private, represents freedom in society and it’s definitely not controlled by a governing body. I’m still not sure why big food franchises have not adopted the use of crypto currencies within their payment systems, it may take them a long time to open their eyes. But for now, I feel grateful that Crypto Eats exists and will be using them for a long time to come.
